VK - Vision and Values
Vision
Our vision is to see the children at Vineyard Kids inputted with the best resources we can offer, to impact them with the truth and love of Jesus Christ through our constant modelling of Godly attitudes and speech and to make the experience of church as safe, relevant, exciting, vibrant and accessible as possible, whilst seeking to understand their needs and be sensitive to the ever-changing culture that they live in.
We will strive to make the Holy Spirit and his gifts accessible to every age group and are committed to encouraging the children to use Spiritual Gifts and see the power of prayer at work within their lives whenever possible.
As adults we value relationships and fun together and we will seek to reflect this for the children too. We endeavour to make Vineyard Kids a place where the children can invite friends to come through regular socials of good quality and to develop a culture of welcome, fun and faith for all.
We see the children as God’s leaders of today as well as of tomorrow, who often have a deep understanding of God and a real relationship with him.
We are committed to doing all we can to sow the seeds of God’s kingdom in their lives, in partnership with parents and families and to enable them to become the people they have been called to be at every age and stage of their life.
Values
We value good relationships amongst the children and with the VK team and will seek to recruit adults who will model Godly attitudes and speech, as well as being able to work well together and contribute towards the growth, quality and safety of Vineyard Kids.
We value partnership with parents and families, but consider the primary place for Godly input, training and modelling to be in the home throughout everyday life. We do not seek to replace this but to compliment it.
We will constantly review and evaluate what we do with the children in light of church growth, finances and the skills of the VK team to ensure they have great quality balanced with realistic, achievable targets.
We value the input of each person and that every child is able to contribute in some way.
We value clear expectations of the children through our behaviour policy and seek to enforce this in a loving respectful way.
We value individuality and will always seek to extend grace to the children and to teach them grace and kindness to one another.
